About Boise City Housing Authority

Since 1967, the Boise City Ada County Housing Authority has played a key role in providing housing options for low and moderate income residents in Ada County. The Boise City Ada County Housing Authority recognizes the complex challenges facing those who are in need of affordable housing, and seeks to provide strategic and creative solutions to assist them. Through the administration of several federal housing programs and the management of multiple properties owned by our agency, the Boise City Ada County Housing Authority currently assists over 3000 families in obtaining decent, safe, and affordable housing solutions within our jurisdiction.

The challenge of providing affordable housing requires concerted, strategic efforts by all who are charged with this mission. By working in partnership with governmental entities, social service agencies, non-profit agencies, and the faith-based community, the Boise City Ada County Housing Authority attempts to create a safety net that is able to address more than just the housing needs of low and moderate income Ada County residents. The Boise City Ada County Housing Authority has initiated several strategies with these partnering entities to empower residents and program participants in achieving the goal of self-sufficiency.
